We are so excited to have all of our learners back at school. Mrs. Garcia was here on the first day to help us welcome everyone! It will be a great year of growing gators.

We had a wonderful Curriculum Night with all of our families and shared all the ways we will be growing gators this year!

6th Grade Artists!
Last week 6th Grade Artists learned about Art Critique; the process of analyzing, describing, and interpreting artworks. Students practiced what they learned about critique by doing a “sticky note critique”, they placed sticky notes beside their classmate’s artwork describing at least one thing that the artist did well. Critique can be one of the hardest parts of the art making process and our 6th Graders did an amazing job giving kind and constructive feedback to their peers. Way to go, Gators!
Fall Book Fair!
Hey Gators! Come see us at our Fall Book Fair, September 9-13. Hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 7:00-2:30, Wednesday 7:00-4:30, and Friday 7:00-12:00. We would love to see you there.
VATRE & Bond 2024
The Rockwall ISD proposals before voters are two parts of a long-range plan. The bond will allow for more schools to be built. The VATRE will allow Rockwall ISD to increase compensation for educators, fund state requirements, including unfunded state mandates and allow the District to hire more teachers to meet the growing enrollment.

Seventy-five Rockwall ISD high school students have earned national recognition from the College Board for their high performance on the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test or Advanced Placement Exams.

Rockwall ISD visual arts teachers earn TAEA District of Distinction Award. Only the top 5.5 percent of districts in the state earned this honor.

With the end of the school year, we want to recognize our CTE students for a job well done as they have competed and championed important events and milestones this year at the Dr. Gene Burton College & Career Academy.

Congratulations to Paige White, who was named principal of Amanda Rochell Elementary School. She has 25 years of experience in education, and began as a bilingual teacher at Amanda Rochell Elementary.

The Rockwall-Heath High School Class of 2024 celebrated their graduation with a ceremony filled with joy, pride, and anticipation for the future. Graduates, surrounded by their families, friends, and teachers, commemorated their achievements and the journey it took to reach this pivotal moment.
